Mr. Jones has worked extensively in the Black LGBT and HIV communities. He is a founding board member of the Queer Economic Justice Network and the Black Gay Research Initiative. He has assisted in the defeat of anti-gay ballot initiatives in Miami-Dade County, FL and Ypsilanti, MI, where the religious right threatened to divide the Black community. He has been a consultant with several community based organizations including People of Color in Crisis, Brooklyn, NY and Gay Men of African Descent, New York, NY.
As the former Director of Research with the Policy Institute of the National Lesbian and Gay Task Force, he managed the Black Pride Survey—the largest study of its kind investigating the lives of African American LGBT individuals across the nation.
With a Master of Science in Social Work degree from Columbia University in New York, NY and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, Mr. Jones is currently a behavioral scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where he conducts research with African Americans and men who have sex with men at risk for HIV infection.
D’Lovely Gibson

D’Lovely Gibson has dedicated herself to LGBTQ community service efforts for the past 5 years. She has volunteered with countless organizations to help raise HIV/AIDS awareness in communities of color and has used her skills in communications to increase political support for LGBTQ issues. She has sat on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Atlanta Dinner Committee as Co-Chair of Production and Co-Chair of Public Relations for 4 years, and currently sits on the HRC Atlanta Steering Committee Board as Co-Chair of Communications. She has supported Black Gay Pride for years and is excited about this opportunity to serve on ITLA’s Board.
Anare Holmes

Award-winning writer Anaré V. Holmes crafts compelling news and feature stories that transcend race, class and gender. For reporting on the injustices a retired, Black law enforcement official faced during his arrest by a team of Indianapolis police officers, Holmes was awarded the Ida B. Wells Best News Story Award from the National Newspaper Publishers Association. He attended both Howard University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he majored in family and consumer journalism.
Ebonee Bradford

Ebonee Bradford, born in Birmingham, Alabama, is the mother of two children Kyndra and Kynath. Ebonee has resided in Atlanta since 1995. In 1997, she founded Sunshine Productions, an events coordinating and fundraising company. Ebonnee has become a familiar grassroots activist in the Atlanta LGBT community, serving on numerous committees and Boards.
Some of her accomplishments and associations include: The Community Leader Award by the Franklin Productions in 1998, Community Service Award by Affair with Aflair, ITLA Board Member 2000-2002 BlackTriangurl Leader Builder 2000-2002, Raymond Carter and Associates 2000-2003,Member of Associations of Black Pride, Member of the Lupus Foundation of America since 2000, ALCI (Atlanta Lesbian Cancer Initiative) 2004 Fourth Tuesday Board member since 2005, HRC Diversity Committee, Co Chair Event Planner for the Women’s Final Four Viewing and HRC Gospel Soul Event 2006 & 2007.
Michael Caywood

Michael Caywood is a business owner, a successful travel agent and meeting planner. He is co-founder of San Juan Brothas, a destination festival held in San Juan, Puerto Rico Memorial Day weekend.
He has worked on logistics for several events including the National Black Gay and Lesbian Leadership Forum. Over the past few years, Michael has volunteered with ITLA, serving as the Community Chairperson for the Opening Ceremony in 2006.
Raymond Duke

Raymond is currently working as a Prevention Specialist & Team Leader at Our Common Welfare. In 1981 Raymond started his career in prevention education while living in Cleveland, Ohio. Raymond holds Bachelors in Social Work and a Masters in Theological Studies.
Since the early 80’s Raymond has been a community activist, working directly with men who have sex with men of African descent, he works in and around his community as it relates to prevention education and stopping the spread of HIV and other STD’s.
Raymond is a certified pre/post test counselor, partner counselor referral services coordinator, communicable disease specialist, prevention case manager, prevention specialist, group facilitator and public speaker.
Since 2000 Raymond has worked closely with social and civic groups in Atlanta GA, as well as the ITLA Board and sat on planning committees for past Black Gay Pride events, as a Board Member of ITLA Raymond looks forward to aiding in bridging the gap(s) between genders that are the target populations of ITLA and their events, as well as assisting the body in being more visible and civic minded in and around Greater Metropolitan Atlanta and surrounding communities.
